Frequently Asked Questions
Services and approach
What types of content do you specialize in?
I focus on B2B content that supports demand generation, sales enablement, and go-to-market strategy. That includes blog posts, thought leadership, long-form guides, case studies, web copy, email nurture flows, and sometimes sales enablement or presentations.
Do you only work with B2B companies?
Mostly. B2B marketing is where I’ve spent the last 25+ years, and where I bring the most value. I primarily support MarTech companies, SaaS platforms, agencies, and marketing organizations that sell or provide services to a B2B marketing audience.
Can you help develop a content strategy, or do you just write the content?
Both. I love writing, but I led the content strategy practice at ANNUITAS for five years and developed award-winning strategic content plans that connect the dots between messaging, personas, channels, and funnel stages. As a demand marketer, content development has always been an essential component to the job.
What makes your writing different from AI-generated or low-cost content services?
I bring B2B marketing leadership experience, not just copywriting skills. I understand your audience because I am your audience. Every piece I write is grounded in business goals, buyer behavior, and conversion intent … not just SEO checklists or keyword stuffing.
Do you offer ghostwriting for executives or thought leadership pieces?
Yes. I’ve ghostwritten blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and presentation scripts for CMOs, founders, and heads of product marketing. I can capture voice, tone, and point of view quickly with minimal handholding.
Process and collaboration
What does your typical writing process look like from start to finish?
I start by getting aligned on audience, purpose, and positioning. Then I handle research, create a clear outline, and draft with a focus on flow and clarity. I include two rounds of revisions, and I never miss deadlines.
How do you ensure brand voice and tone alignment?
I review existing content, brand guidelines, and marketing materials upfront. I also work to clarify audience expectations and decision-making criteria. If needed, I’ll create a custom tone-of-voice guide for our work together.
Do you work with in-house teams or agencies?
Both. I’ve partnered directly with founders and CMOs, as well as with content directors and agency strategists. I’m flexible about workflows and happy to plug into your existing tools and processes.
How do you handle revisions and feedback?
Revisions are included in every project, and I expect feedback. It makes the work better. I’m not precious about words. I care more about helping you hit your goals.
Can we test your services with a single project before committing to more?
Absolutely. Many clients start with a single piece or project before expanding to a longer-term retainer.
Pricing and scope
How do you price your writing services?
It depends on the project type, complexity, and timeline. I offer fixed pricing per piece, monthly retainers for ongoing content, and scoped project pricing for larger deliverables like playbooks or website copy.
Do you offer monthly retainers or packaged services?
Yes. Retainers work well for clients who need ongoing content support across multiple formats. I also offer packages that bundle content strategy with execution.
Is there a minimum project size or engagement length?
I typically require a $1,000 minimum for new projects. Most one-off pieces fall into that range, and I also take on multi-month partnerships for more strategic work.
What’s included in your pricing … research, SEO, formatting?
All of the above. My writing always includes light keyword optimization, internal/external link strategy, metadata suggestions, and any necessary visual prompts (e.g., subheadings, bullets, charts). I can also coordinate with your designer or developer.
Do you require a deposit or contract to get started?
Yes. I require a signed agreement and 50% deposit to book your project into my schedule.
Timeline and capacity
What’s your typical turnaround time for a blog post or content piece?
Most content pieces are delivered in 7–10 business days depending on scope. Rush projects are possible, just ask.
Can you handle fast-turn or rush projects?
Yes, depending on bandwidth. I charge a rush fee for turnaround under 3 business days.
How far in advance should I book you for content work?
It’s best to reach out at least 2 weeks in advance for larger projects or new retainers. I often book several weeks ahead.
Do you take on long-term or ongoing engagements?
Yes, I love building long-term partnerships with teams that value quality content and strategic collaboration.
Fit and outcomes
Who is your ideal client?
My focus is on marketing to marketers. I work best with B2B marketers, startup founders, and GTM leaders who value clarity, quality, and strategic content. Especially if you need help bridging the gap between messaging and execution.
What kinds of results have you helped clients achieve?
My content has supported startups looking to scale, boosted organic search traffic, increased demo requests, and helped reposition brands in crowded markets. I write with outcomes in mind.
Can I see samples of your work or a portfolio?
Yes. Visit my Portfolio page to browse writing samples. I can also share older content if you want to see it, but I didn’t post those to my portfolio because B2B marketing has changed so much. Especially over the past 18 months.
Will you help us measure the performance of your content?
If you’re tracking KPIs like engagement, pipeline influence, or organic rankings, I’m happy to help tie content to those outcomes. I can also suggest simple frameworks for ongoing content measurement.
What industries do you have the most experience in?
I haven’t only written about B2B marketing and MarTech, but applying my personal experience and expertise is what brings that content to the next level. I’ve developed content strategies for cybersecurity, health tech, HR tech, business travel, analytics, IoT and more.
